Our client is looking a Logistics Controller that will facilitate the supply chain operations of the company, thus coordinate personnel, processes and stock to achieve the effective distribution of goods. The position is based in Devland, Soweto.

Requirements:
Matric is Mandatory
BCom. (Manufacturing) or Logistics Management Degree
One year experience as Logistics Controller
Preferably Manufacturing/ Warehouse/ Logistics environment (only FMCG) experience
Knowledge of Production Processes and Procedures
Proficient in data entry, Excel and Outlook, AS1 or similar account payment systems
Exposure to a Supervisory role or leading a team
Key Accountabilities:
Processing of works orders ensuring variances are investigated and closed out.
Weekly cycle counts undertaken and variances investigated.
Monthly cycle count at offsite cold storage undertaken and variances investigated.
Monthly stock counts undertaken with stock take team. Investigations of variances undertaken and feedback provided.
Arrange and ensure that loads from cold storage and other sites are executed as planned.
Forklift, scrubber drier and pallet jack maintenance.
Daily defrosting planning in conjunction with production planner and spot check against physical weekly.
Monthly safety checks for fire extinguishers, ladders, electrical sockets & first aid boxes.
System to reflect what is happening on floor
Variance investigation and resolution
Corrective actions implemented to prevent root causes of system discrepancies
Ensure stock is available on site and defrosted timeously
Equipment in good working condition at all times
